Your Data & Privacy Rights
Uncle J's Dirty Apron BBQ takes your privacy seriously. This article explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.
What Data We Collect
Account Information
If you create an account, we store:
- Your name and email address
- Your phone number (if you add one)
- Your account creation date
Passwords are never stored by us — they are managed by Clerk, our authentication provider.
Order History
We keep records of orders placed through our website. For financial and legal compliance, order records are retained even after account deletion — however, your personal details (name and email) are removed from them.
Pitmaster Rewards
If you're enrolled in Pitmaster Rewards, we store:
- Your points balance and tier
- Your transaction history (points earned and redeemed)
Marketing Subscriptions
If you subscribe to our email list, we store:
- Your email address
- Your subscription status and date
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email or by visiting unclebbq.com/subscribe.
Payment Information
We do not store payment details. All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or retain your card number.
Your Rights
You have the following rights over your personal data:
Right to Access
You can request a full summary of the personal data we hold on your account at any time.
Right to Deletion
You can permanently delete your account and all associated personal data.
How to Exercise Your Rights
Visit the Privacy Rights Portal at unclebbq.com/privacy-rights.
After signing in, you'll be offered two options:
- 📧 Email me my data — We'll email you a complete summary of your personal data. Requires email verification (and phone, if linked to your account).
- 🗑️ Delete my account — Permanently removes your account and all personal data. Requires email, phone, and password verification.
Both actions are irreversible. Account deletion in particular cannot be undone.
