How to Delete Your Account & Data
You have the right to permanently delete your Uncle J's Dirty Apron BBQ account and all personal data associated with it. This process is irreversible — please read carefully before proceeding.
What Gets Deleted
When you complete an account deletion request, the following data is permanently removed:
- ✅ Your login account (email address and password)
- ✅ Pitmaster Rewards account and all accumulated points
- ✅ Saved delivery addresses
- ✅ Email marketing subscriptions
- ✅ SMS marketing subscriptions
- ✅ Pitmaster Helper AI chat history
What Is Retained
The following data is retained for legal and financial compliance but is fully anonymised — your name and email are removed from it:
- Order records (required for tax and accounting purposes)
How to Request Deletion
Account deletion requires multi-step identity verification to protect you from unauthorised deletion requests.
Step 1 — Go to the Privacy Rights Portal
Visit privacyrights.unclebbq.com
Step 2 — Sign In
You must be signed in to your Uncle J's account. If you are not signed in, a login prompt will appear on the page.
Step 3 — Verify Your Identity
You will be walked through up to three verification steps:
- Email verification — A 6-digit code is sent to your account email
- Phone verification (if you have a phone number on your account) — A 6-digit SMS code is sent to your number
- Password confirmation — Enter your account password
Step 4 — Review & Confirm
You will be shown a summary of everything that will be deleted. To confirm, you must type DELETE MY ACCOUNT in the confirmation field.
Step 5 — Done
Your account is permanently deleted. A farewell confirmation email is sent before deletion completes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I recover my account after deletion? No. Deletion is permanent and immediate. Your points, addresses, and login cannot be restored.
What if I forgot my password? Use the Forgot Password link on the sign-in page at unclebbq.com to reset it before starting the deletion process.
Will I still receive emails after deletion? No. Your email address is removed from all marketing and transactional lists immediately upon deletion.
How long does deletion take? The process completes instantly once confirmed. The confirmation email typically arrives within a few minutes.
