Delivery, Pickup & Scheduling
Uncle J's Dirty Apron BBQ offers two fulfilment options: pickup and delivery. Both are available through our online ordering system at unclebbq.com.
Pickup
How It Works
- Place your order online and choose Pickup at checkout
- Your order goes directly to the kitchen
- When it's ready, we'll send you a notification
- Come to the counter and give your name or order reference number
Scheduled Pickup
You can schedule a pickup order in advance — helpful for lunch orders, event prep, or any time you want your food ready at a specific time. Choose a date and time at checkout.
Tips
- Arrive close to your scheduled time — BBQ is best eaten fresh
- If you're running late, your order will be held for up to 30 minutes before it may be given to the next customer or recycled back into the kitchen stock
Delivery
How It Works
- Place your order online and choose Delivery at checkout
- Enter your delivery address — we'll show you an estimated delivery fee and time
- After payment, your order enters the kitchen queue
- A DoorDash driver picks it up and delivers it to your door
- You'll receive a real-time tracking link via email
Delivery Area
Delivery is available within the Joliet, IL area. If your address falls outside the delivery zone, you'll be notified at checkout and can switch to pickup.
Delivery Fees
Delivery fees are calculated based on distance and are shown before you confirm your order. There is no hidden markup — the fee goes to the delivery provider.
If Something Goes Wrong
If your order arrives late, damaged, or incorrect, contact us right away. For delivery issues caused by DoorDash (driver delays, incorrect handling), you can also contact DoorDash support directly via the tracking link.
Scheduling
Both pickup and delivery orders can be placed in advance. At checkout, select Schedule for Later and choose a date and time within our available windows.
We recommend scheduling during busy periods (weekends, lunch rush, Friday evenings) to guarantee availability.
Can I Change My Fulfilment Method After Ordering?
Once an order is confirmed it cannot be switched between pickup and delivery. If you need to make a change, contact us as soon as possible and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
